Margaret Kronfeld - Tips for Managers in the Business World

Margaret Kronfeld is a successful leader in the business world, and she is currently serving as the Company Director for a company called BK Enterprises. She is responsible for the daily operations of the business itself, which means that she’s also responsible for the thirty-six staff members who work at the company as well. Being a manager can be difficult, no matter how many employees work beneath you; here are some tips to keep in mind.

First, you need to be able to trust your employees. If you don’t trust the people who work for you, you’ll have a tendency to micromanage, even on the simplest of tasks. Micromanaging will only serve to slow productivity for you and your employees, and it will prove to them that they don’t have your trust moving forward. This will cause problems with motivation if not addressed.

Second, you need to lead with compassion and understanding. If an employee makes a mistake, don’t get mad at the employee until you’ve learned how the mistake was made, and what can be done. Use the opportunity to learn both about the employee who made the mistake, and ways you can avoid the issue in the future.

Third, get to know each and every one of your employees. This could be a major task depending on how many people work below you, but it will go a long way in securing their loyalties, and making them feel comfortable coming to you with any issues they may have in the future.
